Steve Album Auction 53, lot 2981

This specimen was lot 2981 in Steve Album Auction 53 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "SILESIA: Leopold I, 1657-1705, AR 3 kreuzer, 1668, initials SHS, slightly dished from roller dies, lustrous, AU, ex Almer H. Orr III Collection." This type was struck 1665-72, 1693-98, 1705, and is common. Leopold, besides being duke of Silesia, was also archduke of Austria, king of Bohemia and Hungary and Holy Roman Emperor.
