Stephen Album internet sale 28, lot 963

This specimen was lot 963 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "SILESIA-LIEGNITZ-BRIEG: Christian, 1663-1672, AR 3 pfennig, Brieg, 1670, mintmaster CB, AU." Silesia is considered a German State even tho the province was then under Austrian rule and is now in Poland. This type, listed for 1669-70 only, is not listed as expensive. The coinage ceased when the last of the local dukes died in 1675.
