This specimen was lot 3521 in Sincona sale 64 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 250 CHF (about US$313 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Schwyz | misc, Angster 1812, Aarau. FDC. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (canton of Schwyz, angster of 1812, Aarau mint. Uncirculated, Magnificent condition.)"
This type was struck 1810-16, 1821, 1827, 1838, 1843-46. The 1812 is a common date. Two angsters made a rappen and ten rappen made a batzen.
