Sincona sale 18, lot 3560

This specimen was lot 3560 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 5,250 (about US$6,918 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Dukat 1781. Fast vorzüglich. (canton of Schwyz, ducat of 1781, choice extremely fine.)"

This rare type is also noted for 1779.

Specification: 3.5 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW, this specimen: 3.47 g.
