Stack's Bowers 2025 NYINC sale, lot 38410

This specimen was lot 38410 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2025), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. Gulden, 1841. Munich Mint. Friedrich Gunther. NGC MS-60." This type was struck 1841-43 and 1846 at Munich. Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt and all the other Saxon duchies were merged into the state of Thuringia on the formation of the Weimar Republic in 1919-20.

Specification: 10.60 g, 0.900 fine silver, 30.5 mm diameter, plain edge.
