This specimen was lot 3419 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $65.45. The catalog description[1] noted, "SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN: Christian VII, 1784-1808, AR 10 schilling, 1787, initials MF, Fine." This type was struck 1787-89, 1796. It was struck by the king of Denmark in his capacity as duke of Schleswig-Holstein. Schleswig was Danish-speaking while Holstein was German; the conflicts arising therefrom led to the whole region being conquered and annexed by Prussia in the 1860's. We don't see the initials "MF" claimed by the auctioneers, which are clearly visible on other denominations.
Recorded mintage: 540,000.
Specification: 6.13 g, 0.687 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-128.
