Schaffhausen 1632 dicken
This specimen was lot 3476 in Sincona sale 70 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$527 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND | Schaffhausen. Dicken 1632, Schaffhausen. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich-fast FDC. (Switzerland, canton of Schaffhausen, dicken of 1632, Schaffhausen mint. Rare in this condition, Extremely fine-about uncirculated.)"
The SCWC does not price this type of 1626-27, 1631-35 in any grade higher than Very Fine. The dicken traded for 24 kreuzer or 4/15 of a thaler. The city arms depict an ibex leaping, sometimes by itself or out of a castle window (as here).
