This specimen was lot 22709 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $132. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. Taler, 1852-F. PCGS MS-62 Secure Holder. Boldly defined with prooflike fields and a light sprinkling of tone on both sides." This fairly common type was struck 1850-54. It was accompanied by a mining thaler (Dav-879).

Recorded mintage: 1,105,000.

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.750 fine silver.
