This specimen was lot 2187 in Sincona sale 13 (Zürich, October 2013), where it sold for 205 CHF (about US$265 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Sachsen, Königreich ALBERTINER Taler 1848. Kl. Kr. Vorzüglich." This type is noted for 1839-49 along with a mining thaler (Dav-877). It is common. This type was struck 1839-49 to the Prussian standard. Soon after, the "vereinsthaler" standard (18.52 g, 0.900 fine silver) was adopted and used until unification in 1871.
