This specimen was lot 1635 in Jean Elsen sale 125 (Brussels, June 2015), where it sold for €170 (about US$226 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE, Royaume, Friedrich August II (1836-1854), AR Ausbeutetaler, 1846-F. Nettoyé. Petits coups sur la tranche Très Beau à Superbe. (kingdom of Saxony, Frederick Augustus (1836-54), silver mining thaler of 1846. Cleaned, small rim nicks, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This mining thaler of 1841-54 is uncommon. For 1846, it was accompanied by a vereinsthaler (Dav-875).

Specification: 22.27 g, 0.750 fine silver, 34 mm diameter, lettered edge.
