Sincona sale 11, lot 988

This specimen was lot 988 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$198 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Sachsen, Königreich Albertiner Friedrich August III. (I.), 1763-1826. Konventionstaler 1813, Dresden. Mmz. IGS. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Saxony, Frederick August I (1763-1826), convention thaler of 1813, Dresden mint. Very fine to extremely fine.)"

This type was issued 1807-17 along with a mining thaler (Dav-856). It is common.
