Künker sale 386, lot 6134

This specimen was lot 6134 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €2,400 (about US$3,101 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM, Friedrich August III. (I.), 1763-1806-1827. Dukat 1787, Dresden. GOLD. Fast vorzüglich. (electorate of Saxony, Frederick Augustus III, 1763-1827, ducat of 1787, Dresden mint. About extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1779-90. It is probably the most common Saxon ducat.
