This specimen was lot 1494 in Goldberg Sale 146 (Los Angeles, July 2025), where it sold for $84. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Saxony. Taler, 1783-IEC. Dresden. Friedrich August III. PCGS graded Very Fine Detail (Cleaned). The Augustana Collection." This type is listed for 1780-90 and is common. A mining thaler also exists (Dav-2696).
