This specimen was lot 71438, in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, October 2019), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. 2/3 Taler (Gulden), 1690-IK. Dresden Mint. Johann Georg III. NGC MS-63. A highly attractive and rather choice specimen, this lustrous example yields some pleasing underlying luster along with a handsome strike and extensive cabinet toning." This type was struck 1680-91 and is fairly common.
