Saxony 1683-CF 2/3 thaler
This specimen was lot 1598 in Jean Elsen sale 154 (Brussels, March 2023), where it sold for €220 (about US$285 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, SAXE, Johann Georg III (1680-1691), AR 2/3 Taler, 1683 CF, Dresde. D/ B. dr. et cuir. à d. R/ Ecu couronné entre deux palmes. Léger défaut de flan au droit. Très Beau à Superbe. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, John George III, 1680-91, silver two-thirds thaler of 1683, Dresden mint. Obverse: draped and armored bust right; reverse: crowned arms between two palms. Obverse: light planchet defect on the obverse. Very Fine - Extremely Fine.)"
This denomination was first struck in Saxony in 1675. This type was struck 1680-91 and is fairly expensive tho much more affordable than contemporary thalers such as Dav-7627.
