Künker Auction 426, lot 3784

This specimen was lot 3784 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €195 (about US$276 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SACHSEN, KURFÜRSTENTUM Johann Georg I., 1615-1656. 1/2 Reichstaler 1624, Dresden. Hübsche Patina, sehr schön. (Germany, electorate of Saxony, John George I, 1615-56, half thaler of 1624, Dresden mint. Handsome patina, very fine.)"

This type was struck 1624-29 and is likely scarcer than the matching thaler.
