This specimen was lot 77306 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxony. Taler, 1585-HB. Dresden Mint. August I. PCGS Genuine--Tooled, EF Details. From the Richard August Collection." This thaler, struck 1567-86, is one of the commonest thalers of the 16th century.
