This specimen was lot 22684 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Philadelphia, August 2018), where it sold for $480. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. Pfennig, 1858-A. NGC PROOF-66 RD. Bright and reflective with red toning in areas and design elements that remain fully sharp. Stunning preserved for its age." This type, struck 1855 and 1865, is noted as common.
