This specimen was lot 75099 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for $145. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg. 6 Pfennig, 1758-LCK. Gotha Mint. Friedrich III. PCGS MS-65." With the introduction of the convention thaler in the mid eighteenth century, one mark was ten thalers and one thaler was 120 kreuzer or 288 pfennig. This type was struck 1752-60 and is common. Most have the initials "LCK".
