This specimen was lot 3634 in Stephen Album sale 39 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2021), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAVOY: Emmanuel Philibert, 1553-1580, BI soldo, 1579, lustrous fields, PCGS graded AU58, ex Dr. Axel Wahlstedt Collection." Altho the counts of Savoy eventually rose to become kings of Italy in the nineteenth century, in the sixteenth century most of Savoy was in what is today French territory.
