This specimen was lot 2019 in Jean Elsen sale 163 (Brussels, November 2025), where it sold for €8,500 (about US$9,818 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIE, SAVOIE et SARDAIGNE, Victor Amédée III (1773-1796), AV doppia vecchia, 1773. D/ B. dr. et cuir. à g. R/ Écu orné et couronné. Très rare. Fines griffes. (Italy, kingdom of Sardinia, Victor Amadeus III, 1773-96, gold old doppia of 1773. Obverse: draped and armored bust left; reverse: ornated and crowned arms. Very rare, hairlines, Extremely Fine.)"

This type was struck 1773, 1776-82. All dates are very rare.
