Aureo y Calicó sale 448, lot 210

This specimen was lot 210 in Aureo y Calicó sale 448 (Barcelona, March 2025), where it sold for 4,200 € (about US$5,487 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "1672. Carlos II. Cagliari. 10 reales. Obv.: CAROLVS·II·HISP·E·SARDIE·REX / *1672*. Rev.: *INIMICOS·EIVS·INDVAM·CONFVS. Very rare. Stunning example for this mint. MBC+ [choice very fine]. Ex Aureo 04/17/2002, no. 603." This type was struck 1671-74 and undated for the island of Sardinia, then under Spanish rule. It is very rare.
