This specimen was lot 23655 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $630. The catalog description[1] noted, "SAN MARINO. 5 Scudi, 1977. NGC MS-67. Struck to commemorate Democracy. Brilliant with frosty luster." This module was used to strike NCLT's 1976-82, then reduced to 10 g in 1983, then raised to 16.95 g in 1986. Ordinary coinage was denominated in lira.

Recorded mintage: 15,000.

Specification: 15 g, 0.917 fine gold.
