This specimen was issued by San Marino as part of the F.A.O. series. San Marino is in the Italian Apennines and is a protectorate of Italy but remains independent. It is one of the few European countries to issue coins for F.A.O. This type was struck in Rome and features a honeybee. San Marino now uses the euro.

Recorded mintage: 1,276,000.

Specification: aluminum, 23.3 mm diameter.
