This specimen was lot 3285 in Künker Auction 426 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €165 (about US$234 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HABSBURGISCHE ERBLANDE-ÖSTERREICH · DIE GEISTLICHKEIT IN DEN HABSBURGISCHEN ERBLANDEN, SALZBURG, ERZBISTUM, Sigismund III. von Schrattenbach, 1753-1771. Konv.-Taler 1760. Kl. Kratzer, sehr schön. (archbishopric of Salzburg, Sigismund III von Schrattenbach, 1753-71, convention thaler of 1760. Hairlines, very fine.)"
The Archbishopric of Salzburg was an ecclesiastical state between Bavaria and Austria and usually ruled by a Hapsburg client. In the seventeenth century it was blessed with a number of productive silver mines and the prince-archbishop was a prolific issuer of coins, particularly thalers. This type was struck 1759-60 and is priced about 50% higher than the thalers of Mozart's time. The closely related Dav-1254 has the obverse legend ending "NAT GER PRIMAS" instead of "N·G·P·" as shown here.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specifications: 28.06 g, 0.833 fine silver, 42 mm diameter, this specimen 27,99 g.
