This specimen was lot 12013 in Ponterio sale 169 (Baltimore, November 2012), where it sold for $517. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Salzburg. Ducat, 1728. NGC Unc Details--Edge Filing. Leopold Anton Eleutherius von Firmian (1727-44). NGC Unc Details--Edge Filing. Demarete Collection." This type was issued 1727-40 and depicts St. Rupert. A rare type also dated 1728 (KM 332) depicting the archbishop is also listed.

Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.

Specification: 3.49 g, 0.986 fine gold, .110 troy oz AGW.
