The first specimen was lot 30549 in Heritage sale 3040 (Chicago, April 2015), where it sold for $1,762.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Russian Federation gold Proof Brown Bear 100 Roubles 1993 PR70 Ultra Cameo NGC, Moscow mint. Needless to say, there can be none certified finer. Superb!" The second specimen was part of lot 21466 in Stack's Bowers ANA Auction (Denver, CO, August 2017), which sold for $3,055. The catalog description[2] noted, "RUSSIA. Five Piece Proof Set, 1993. Fr-223, 222, 221, & 220; Y-406, 411, 412, 413, & 409. The 25 Rubles is struck with a mintage of 10,000. The 50 Rubles is struck with a mintage of 1,480. The 100 Rubles is stuck with a mintage of 1,400. The 200 Rubles is struck with a mintage of 1,000. Finally, the 3 Rubles is struck with a mintage of 5,000. Maximum number of sets issued is a mere 1000. All 5 pieces have hard mirror fields and frosted cameo devices. A nice evenly matched, highly attractive set." This is one of three different gold hundred rubles issued in 1993.

Specification: 15.55 g, 0.999 fine gold, .496 troy oz AGW.
