This type was minted 1992-93 at St. Petersburg and Moscow for the Russian Federation. The superseding type (Y-313a) was copper-nickel plated steel. The coinage reform of 1998 (1000 old rubles = one new ruble) rendered these coins obsolete.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 3.65 g, copper-nickel, 21.1 mm diameter.
