Sincona sale 39, lot 4343

This specimen was lot 4343 in Sincona sale 39 (Zürich, May 2017), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"Sowjetunion, 1917-1990 Rubel 1921. Fast FDC. (Soviet Union, 1917-90, ruble of 1921. About uncirculated.)"

This type was issued 1921-22 as the Communists consolidated their hold on power after the Russian civil war. It is expensive in nice condition.

Specification: 20 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 20.01 g.
