This specimen was lot 1378 in Stephen Album sale 32 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2018), where it sold for $329. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIAN S.F.S.R.: AR 50 kopecks, 1921, Soviet issue, mintmaster AT, NGC graded MS65." This type was struck 1921-22 toward the end of the Russian Civil War as the Communists consolidated power. It accompanied a silver ruble (KM Y84) and a twenty kopeks (KM Y82).
Recorded mintage: 1,400,000 plus proofs.
Specification: 10 g, 0.500 fine silver.
