This specimen was lot 863 in Sincona sale 46 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$600 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Russland, kaisertum, Alexander II. 1855-1881. 5 Rubel 1868, St. Petersburg. Sehr schön. (empire of Russia, Alexander II, 1855-81, five rubles of 1868, St. Petersburg mint. Very fine.)"
This type is listed for 1859-85 and is fairly common in circulated condition. In 1886, the standard was revised to match the French twenty francs d'or, resulting in a weight reduction to .186 troy oz (see KM Y42).
