Sincona sale 19, lot 566

This specimen was lot 566 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 500 (about US$627 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "5 Kopecks 1837, Ekaterinburg Mint, KT. About uncirculated." This type is listed for 1831-39 and has a low catalog value in circulated condition. More copper five kopeks were struck at the Suzun mint (KM C140.2).

Recorded mintage: 19,745,000 (including all assayers).
