Sincona sale 84, lot 320

This specimen was lot 320 in Sincona sale 84 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$67 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSIA Russian Empire and Federation, 10 Kopecks 1836, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB NG. Good very fine. From the Soedermann Collection."

This silver type was struck 1832-58 simultaneously with a copper coin of the same value (KM C141.1) issued from several branch mints, particularly Ekaterinburg.

Recorded mintage: 1,010,000.

Specification: 2.07 g, 0.868 fine silver, this specimen 2.00 g.
