This specimen was lot 25373 in Heritage sale 3019 (Chicago, April 2012), where it sold for $1,265. The catalog description[2] noted, "Nicholas I copper 5 Kopecks 1835 EM-ФX, Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with date below / Value, MS65 Red and Brown NGC. A bit softly struck in the central areas, otherwise the strike is bold and the surfaces lustrous with no significant imperfections." This type was struck 1831-39 at Ekaterinburg and Suzun. Mintages are generally large.
