Sincona sale 65, lot 161

This specimen was lot 161 in Sincona sale 65 (Zürich, October 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"20 Kopecks 1821, St. Petersburg Mint, SPB PD. Excessively rare as a proof. Cabinet piece. NGC PF67+. (20 копеек 1821, СПб МД, СПБ ПД. 4,10 г. Биткин 202. Редчайшие в исполнении пруф. Кабинетный экземпляр. В слабе NGC PF67+.) Ex auction SINCONA AG 24, Zürich, October 2015, lot 509.Collector's note: "Proof. Obv. Date normal. Blank 1". Because of its rarity such a coin was not in proof in the famous Russian Coins from 19th and 20th Centuries. Collection of Duplicates from Russian Museums, Adolph Hess auction 204, 18th of February 1931. (С аукциона Синкона АГ 24, Цюрих, октябрь 2015, лот 509. Заметки коллекционера: «Пруф. Ав. Дата обычная. This type was struck 1810-26 and is fairly common. Proofs are rare.
