Russia H3035-34761r.jpg

This specimen was lot 34761 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,057.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alexander I 20 Kopecks 1820/19 CПБ-ПД MS62 PCGS, St. Petersburg mint, this is the overdate issue 1820/19, but PCGS has failed to note this on the holder. Well struck, with slate-gray toning and only minor imperfections. Very scarce in Mint State. When you consider that this piece should be in an overdate (20/19) holder, only one other piece has been certified in MS62, by NGC, none by PCGS, with none finer." This type is listed for 1810-26 and has a low catalog value in circulated condition. The overdate is not awarded any premium.

Recorded mintage: 1,895,000 (including assayer ПC).

Specification: 4.14 g, 0.868 fine silver, .115 troy oz ASW.

Catalog reference: Bitkin 201, KM C128.
