This specimen was lot 464 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 2,600 (about US$3,258 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Rouble 1818, St. Petersburg Mint, CП. Rare. 5 roubles acc. to Iljin. 8 roubles acc. to Petrov. 8 roubles according to Trapeznikov. Old pencil marks. Very fine-extremely fine." This type is listed for 1810-26 and is fairly common in circulated condition. This date garners a slight premium over the regular assayer ПC.
