This specimen was lot 25565 in Heritage sale 3026 (Long Beach, October 2013), where it sold for $2,350. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alexander I gold 5 Roubles 1818 CПБ-MФ, Crowned double-headed Imperial eagle with date below / Crowned four-line legend in wreath, nice XF. Well struck with a few light contact marks, as one might expect of the grade." This type was struck 1817-25 and is scarce.
Recorded mintage: 1,520,000.
Specification: 6.54 g, 0.917 fine gold, .192 troy oz AGW.
