This specimen was lot 21781 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $977.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Alexander I Rouble 1807 CПБ-ФГ, Crowned Imperial eagle with wings up and date/Crowned four-line inscription, XF40 NGC. Moderate gray-russet toning with light marks and a dec[e]nt strike." The SCWC records this product of the St. Petersburg mint (СПБ) for 1807-10, with mintmaster FG (ФГ) for 1803-11 and assayer MK for 1808-09. The type is much scarcer than later rubles of Alexander I (Dav-281).
