This specimen was lot 73079 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, June 2021), where it sold for $1,200. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. Siberia. 2 Kopeks, 1777-KM. Suzun Mint. Catherine II (the Great). NGC MS-62 Brown. Another Mint State offering from the permafrost of north-eastern Russia, this example presents tremendous overall quality for the type along with a slight glossiness to the surfaces." This type was struck 1764-80 for circulation in Siberia and is today common.
