This specimen was lot 1462 in Stack's Bowers ANA auction (Chicago, August 2014), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA. 10 Kopek (Grivennik), 1769-CNB. Catherine II (the Great) (1762-96). NGC AU-58. Pleasantly toned with much remaining luster. Highest graded by NGC. From the Demarete Collection." This coin, struck in this style 1764-76, is just a little light to be classified as a dime, tho it is one tenth of a ruble. This denomination was also struck in copper.

Recorded mintage: 2,550,000 (highest mintage date).

Specification: 2.37 g, 0.750 fine silver.
