This specimen was lot 841 in Stack's Coin Galleries sale (New York, October 2010), where it sold for $747.50. The catalog description[1] noted,

"RUSSIA. Elisabeth, 1741-1761. Ruble, 1750 MMД. Moscow. Small décolleté bust r. Rv. Imperial eagle, Coin Ruble. Strong Extremely Fine."

This type was struck in Moscow 1742-61 but is not easy to find. This specimen realized well in excess of the catalog value. St. Petersburg also issued a similar ruble.

Recorded mintage: 1,026,999.

Specification: 25.85 g, .802 fine silver, 0.666 troy oz ASW.
