This specimen was lot 72922 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $305.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "RHODESIA. Cent, 1970. NGC PROOF-64 RB. RARE, from a reported mintage of only 12 pieces. Hard mirror fields with frosted cameo devices. Nearly full mint red and quite attractive." This type of 1970-77 is common but the proofs are rare. It was accompanied by a half cent, 2½ cents, five cents, ten cents, twenty cents and twenty-five cents. Rhodesia is now Zimbabwe.

Recorded mintage: 25,000,000 + 12 proofs.
