Sincona sale 11, lot 1870

This specimen was lot 1870 in Sincona sale 11 (Zürich, May 2013), where it sold for 400 CHF (about US$495 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"ITALIEN Retegno Antonio Teodoro Trivulzio, 1676-1678. Filippo 1676. Fast sehr schön-sehr schön. (principality of Retegno, Anthony Theodore Trivulzio, 1676-78, filippo of 1676, very fine.)"

Coinage from this locale, a commune in the duchy of Milan, is scanty and rare. This type is accompanied by a triple (Dav-4134), double (Dav-4135), half and quarter filippo.
