Sincona sale 83, lot 3019

This specimen was lot 3019 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Retegno, Antonio Gaetano Gallio Trivulzio, 1679-1705. Filippo 1686, Retegno. Brustbild des Herrschers nach rechts. Unten 130 (Soldi). Rv. Trivulzio- und Galliowappen über Ährenbund, darüber gekröntes Dreigesicht. Fast sehr schön (Obverse: bust right, "130" below; reverse: arms of Trivulzio and Gallio over a wheat sheaf, above, a crowned triple-faced head. About very fine). Exemplar aus F. R. Künker GmbH, Osnabrück. Auktion 206, Lot 3094." This crown was struck in several varieties, this one having "130" stamped below the bust. The baron also struck quarter, half, double and triple filippi.
