The first specimen was lot 31292 in Heritage sale 3029 (New York, January 2014), where it sold for $998.75. The catalog description[1] noted, "Regensburg. Free City Taler 1773-GCB, AU58 NGC. Nicely toned with blue-green flashes in the legends and evidence of moderate handling in the obverse fields. Struck in the name of Joseph II." The second specimen was lot 3289 in Künker sale 405 (Osnabrück, March 2024), where it sold for €900 (about US$1,181 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE REICHSSTADT REGENSBURG. DIE ZEIT DES KAISERS JOSEF II., 1765-1790. Kurant- und Scheidemünzen aus der Zeit des Kaisers Josef II. Konv.-Taler 1773, mit Titel Josefs II. Münzmeister Georg Christoph Busch. Stempelschneider der Vorderseite Johann Nikolaus Körnlein, der Rückseite Johann Leonhard Oexlein. RR Leicht berieben, vorzüglich. (city of Regensburg, convention thaler of 1773, struck in the name of Joseph II. Very rare, lightly polished, extremely fine.)"
