This specimen was lot 2838 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $75. The catalog description[1] noted, "PRUSSIA: Wilhelm I, 1861-1888, AE 3 pfennig, Cleve, 1868-C, some red, great eye appeal, NGC graded MS65 BN." This type was struck 1861-73 (two years after unification) at Berlin (A), Hannover (B) and Frankfurt (C) and all dates are common tho the SCWC does not mention any proofs. The coin was worth 1/120 of a vereinsthaler.
