This specimen was lot 989 in Jean Elsen sale 121 (Brussels, June 2014), where it sold for €170 (about US$272 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ALLEMAGNE, PRUSSE, Friedrich Wilhelm III (1797-1840), AR Taler, 1814 A, Superbe. (Germany, kingdom of Prussia, Frederick William III (1797-1840), silver thaler of 1814, extremely fine.)"
This type was issued 1809-16 at Berlin (shown here) and Dusseldorf and is common in worn condition. This is the commonest date.
