This specimen was lot 75609 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $408. The catalog description[1] noted, "PORTUGAL. 100 Reis, 1859. Lisbon Mint. Pedro V. NGC MS-63+. A Choice silver minor displaying crisp original detail. The obverse is bright and argent while the reverse displays a subdued gray tone, but both sides offer gleaming luster." This type was struck 1857-59 and 1861. It is not common. It is accompanied by similar silver 200 réis (KM 499), 500 réis (KM 498) and gold 2000 réis (KM 500) and 5,000 réis (KM 505).
