This specimen was lot 3028 in Sincona sale 18 (Zürich, May 2014), where it sold for CHF 1,200 (about US$1,581 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Peca 1783. Lissabon. Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön. (kingdom of Portugal, peça of 1783, Lisbon mint, very fine to extremely fine.)"
This type was struck 1782-85 but is seldom seen compared to similar coins that were struck in Brazil.
